The Kitchen
Our Story
Cooked with love,
the way Bebe did
Chaunka — the Punjabi word for a kitchen — is the heart of every home. Ours is named after the women who built our family around the hearth: Bebe, whose saag and makki di roti fed the whole village every Lohri, whose daal makhani simmered from noon till dusk.
We opened Bebe Da Chaunka to preserve what no restaurant ever could: the unhurried cooking, the generous hand with spices, the insistence that a meal is only ready when it smells like home.
"The secret to good Punjabi food is patience — and a heavy kadai."
— Bebe Simerjit Kaur, whose recipes we follow to the letterRotating Specials

What People Say
Tastes like someone's home
"The daal makhani here is the best I've had outside my own mother's kitchen. I came for lunch and ended up staying for dinner."
"The sarson da saag with makki di roti made me cry. Genuinely. It tasted exactly like my dadi used to make it in the village."
"Finally — a Punjabi restaurant that doesn't drown everything in cream. The flavours here are honest, deep, and completely addictive."
